    Very nice plugin!

      Thank you Peter.

    I just bought the Always on top menu section in the Pageline Store. Seems its activated and the interface appears in Pageline. Clicked to adjust settings, saved and when I preview the site, it’s still the old style of nav… no docs with the product.

    What do I need to do that I did not? Thanks.

    • E Va

      I’m experiencing the same problem. Did you handle it?

  • Rbarsalo

    Found it… You need to slide in the Pagelines templates design interface… it would have been so simple to explain.

    Cool add-on.

    • Anonymous

      You got it =)

    • Mark

      To be clear;
      1 – Purchase and install via the pagelines store from within WP
      2 – add menu always on top nav to the header section of your template in Pagelines / Template Setup
      3 – configure menu always on top from WP Pagelines / Settings

  • Anonymous

    No coding required. Nice.

  • nd

    I’m having trouble with this plugin. When I select an alternate font, lines of code appear at the top of the screen saying the there’s an invalid argument because the array_merge is not an array in my site php on line #x. I also purchased the Pagelines’ GoogleFonts plugin.

    • Anonymous

      Hi,

      Please, can you try disabling the plugin GoogleFonts and see if the error still appears? and if its possible send me the full error log (text) that appears for review.

      Greetings!!

      sorry, wrong reply. will repost

    Every time I try to install this section plugin it blows out the WP site all together. It causes an internal http error 500 and prevents access to the WP admin. I have tried to activate it on 2 WP sites to only experience the same. One of these was a brand new installation. Please provide any help you can as I have just purchased this and would like to use it ASAP.

      Hi.

      Can you please provide me more details of your setup, php version, if you use another plugins or sections?

      The section was tested in different setups with no problems.

      So again, if you can please provide more details about your setup to make some test.

    • Anonymous

      I had the same issue. The installer broke halfway thru and left the plugin sitting in the Pagelines-Sections folder in the wp plugins folder. Once I moved it out of the there the site came back up. A second fresh install seemed to complete however the Store section of Pagelines still has the ‘install’ button even tho I can see the plugin in the plugins folder via ftp. It does not show up on the wp plugins admin page nor in any of the Pagelines settings pages. Unable to really use this until I find out what should be done….

      • Anonymous

        Hi.

        Please install the Section as i show it in the screencast (Top), if for some reason you need to install via FTP, be sure to place the “Section” in the correct path.

        /wp-content/plugins/pagelines-sections/

        Remember this is a PageLine Section, not a plugin, this section don’t show in the plugins tab.

        Again try to install it as the screencast shows and let me know if you have any issue.

        Another thing, Can you please send me a list of plugins that you use in your site when the section broke you install?

        Greetings!!

  • Anonymous

    Sure thing. I used the Microsoft platform installer to setup the WP sites. It installs PHP 5.2.17. The only theme and plugins I have installed the latest versions of the plugins recommended in the initial Pagelines site setup.

    Let me know if you need anything else from this end. Thank you for the timely response.

  • MKD

    I found a couple of odd things with this Section…

    1 – positioning of the drop-down elements overlaps the top level nav text (or gets very close).
    2 – positioning of the whole bar after scroll does not take into account the presence of the WP loged in User/Admin bar.
    3 – when viewed on iPhone/Android the behaviour of the menu is great (very smooth animation, etc). But there should be a separate set of styles for mobile since it’s way too big by default (50% of the screen with just a handful of top level items).

    • Anonymous

      Hi.

      Thanks for the comment, i will work on that for the next update.

      Greetings!!

      • MKD

        Awesome :D Can’t wait!

  • Rbarsalo

    Is it possible to view a sub/sub-menu, meaning 2 levels down instead of one?

    And when do you plan to release the next update discussed with MKD?

    The plugin works really well and was stable since it was installed. Hope that it will grow with my site and be able to display multi level navigation and increase the design tweeking possibilities.

    Hi there,

    I bought, installed the plug-in and configured it. All works find. Just the layout (margins) doesn’t fit with the rest of site. I’m not a CSS expert at all (just beginning to study that) but I think it’s because my theme uses a padding of 15px and menu has a padding of 0px.

    Here is the site: http://www.effortlessharmonica.com

    Can someone give me some directions how to get the elements aligned?

    Many thanks in advance,

        Hi Tmeist3r….any more thoughts on this? I’m on a deadline with getting the site up and wanted to fix this issue asap. Any help is appreciated!! Awesome plug in!!!

        • Anonymous

          Hi,

          Well is not a bug, i saw your site and i think you have enabled the drop down navigation option.

          Please disable that option, go to:

          PageLines => Settings => Header And Footer

          Find the “Enable Drop Down Navigation?” option and uncheck.

          That should solve the issue.

          Greetings!!

    couple hopefully fast questions;
    disable drop down menus? also menu always on top seems to fail with the vanilla integration. Both of these sound like simple fixes but any direction would be of help. thanks!

    • Anonymous

      Hi Nicholas,

      The vanilla integration and drop down disabled was not tested in this version.

      Let me make the adjustments and in the next version will be available.

      • Nicholas Culpin

        ah ok. rock on :)

  • Mr. V

    The font is not changing in the nav menu (http://upvarrons.org). Font color and menu background can be changed using the meta setting but the font type cannot be changed. Any suggestion.

    • Anonymous

      Hi.

      Sorry about that, is a bug in the PageLines Framework API, already reported to their developers.

      I hope it’s fixed soon.

      If you need a quickly workaround you need to edit a class in the PageLines core, let me know if you want to do that.

      Greetings!!

    I haven’t tried this menu yet. How easy is it to add a logo to the top left ?

    Hello, I bought PageLines Professional Version and the Plugin Menu Always on Top, and I wonder if I can use this plugin on more than one website?

  • http://www.facebook.com/tomrupp Tom Rupp

    Great plugin-It’s the subtle details that make an impression.

  • Diretornak

    Awesome plugin man!

    I am using it on a single page website, and I am trying to use Jquery to smooth out the anchor scrolling. The problem is I need to add a specific class to the “ul li a” items. Do you have any idea how I could do this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Stevenandrews007

    Any plans to support IE7?

  • Felix

    Hello,

    I just purchased the Menu Always on Top by paying with PayPal, but it still shows the purchase button and does not show the option to install. Can you please help? At the same time, I bought the slider and that got installed.

  • Ray

    Am wondering when you’ll update so that the menu will display more than one submenu. I want to stick with using your menu as it is great but I’ve lost the ability for my second level of sub menu to display and that isn’t good for my site.

  • anthalis

    Hi there Tmeist3r,

    I recently bought this section and I am having a little bit of trouble with it. I want to have the full-width display that you have here on the site but I can’t seem to find the way. I have selected the full width layout in the menu options, but it gets limited to the overall website width. While I want the menu to be full-width, I would like to keep the content areas at 960px. Can you point me in the right direction?

    • Tmeister

      Hi,

      In the options tab PageLines > Settings > Always On Top Menu, is a option “Enable Full-Width” just click on it.

      Greetings!!

    • Tmeist3r

      Hi,

      There is a option for that:

      In the options tab PageLines > Settings > Always On Top Menu, is a option “Enable Full-Width” just click on it.

      Greetings!!

  • Swisham

    Is there a way to center the menu text?

    • Tmeister

      Hi,

      Yes you can via CSS. you need to add a custom CSS in your child theme or in the advanced code tab:

      ul.menu-always-on-top li ul li a {
      padding: 10px 0 0 0px;
      text-align: center;
      }

      Greetings

    Hi, I was a bit bothered by the “jump” of the content, so I did a bit of hacking and thought this might be useful. Right now it adds padding to the content by setting it staticly, this should have a fall back, but I did not have the time to make it work. here is the code from section.php i adjusted:

    jQuery(function($) {
    var menu = $(‘#id?>’),
    pos = menu.offset();
    menu.addClass(‘default’)
    $(window).scroll(function(){
    if($(this).scrollTop() > pos.top+menu.height() && menu.hasClass(‘default’)){
    menu.fadeOut(‘slow’, function(){
    $(this).removeClass(‘default’).addClass(‘fixed’).fadeIn(‘slow’);
    $(this).parent().parent().css(‘padding-top’,menu.height());// added
    });
    } else if($(this).scrollTop() <= pos.top && menu.hasClass('fixed')){
    menu.fadeOut('slow', function(){
    $(this).removeClass('fixed').addClass('default').fadeIn('slow');
    $(this).parent().parent().css('padding-top',0); //added
    });
    }
    });
    $(window).scroll();
    });

  • paulzz

    Looks good.
    Does it wok with the new fixed nav?

  • http://www.facebook.com/tomrupp Tom Rupp

    Hello upgraded to the new WP and Pagelines version. The menu works when you slide it or a drop down submenu appears, but it will not display the background color (green) when it is stationary. Please advise. twotrails.com

    How can I make this work in mobile devices? I am using “always-on-top” along with “mobile-menu” but although it works perfectly in desktop, it sticks to the top in every mobile device. Is there a way to make it work in mobile?

  • ironmanLee

    Hi, I bought the Alwasy on to menu. I think this is a great section template. and I also clicked the facebook like button. How can I get the “Candy Notifications Lite Section Template” ?

  • http://www.facebook.com/ryan.rawls.10 Ryan Rawls

    How can we control the menu that shows at a page by page basis? Just like they do on the demo.pagelines.com web site, notice each section has a unique always-at-top menu. How do you go about setting it up that way?

  • Jonas Schmith

    Hi!
    Is there a way to center the menu?
    Thanks in advance

  • Luke Edwards

    This doesn’t work at all.
    I can’t have a content background color; apparently it overlaps the menu color.
    It doesn’t become centered after inserted the code found in these comments.
    And, above all, it doesn’t float to the top of the page when scrolling.

    How do i get my money back please?

    • Tmeist3r

      Hi,

      Do you use a third party plugin on your site? can you tell me a little more about your site setup, WordPress and PageLines Version and if you can provide me your Site URL to take a look.

      Anyway if you still want your money back please contact to PageLines directly.

      Regards!!

  • mrfordx

    How can you have Always on Top and the Mobile menu run together. Seems you can only have one or the other. To bad they don’t tell you this before you buy it.

  • pilpelim

    I want to buy or download the plugin, and it does not work, how can I do it?

    Thank you.
